Why Some Parents Don’t Brush Their Children’s Teeth More Often
We all know that we should brush your teeth twice a day. This is as important for children as it is for adults. However, research shows that some adults struggle to get their kids to brush their teeth twice a day.
In the past, it was assumed that parents who find it difficult to brush their children’s teeth twice daily did so because they had poor oral health knowledge or didn’t value oral health.
However, this study showed that other factors may be involved. Parents were often influenced by how often other parents in their social group brushed children’s teeth, or ever-changing day-to-day routines sometimes prevented tooth brushing habits from forming.
