Marble-Like Particles To Repair Tooth Decay

Marble-Like Particles To Repair Tooth Decay

Tooth decay is one of the common causes of toothache. Toothache can greatly affect one’s quality of life and can sometimes can lead to dental emergencies.

Some recent promising research, however, may prove to be a key to reversing the process of tooth decay. A team of dentists in the UK have developed tiny marble-like glass particles that are designed to enter holes in teeth, release calcium and phosphate (important components of tooth enamel) thereby repairing the enamel and reducing tooth pain.
