Low-Sugar Soft Drinks and Risk of Tooth Decay
Opting for a low-sugar soft drink over a regular one does nothing to prevent dental erosion.
It’s the acidity—not just the sugar content—of sweetened beverages that contributes to tooth decay, according to the Australian Dental Association.
The ADA warns us against frequent consumption of these low-sugar soft drinks since they have the same level of acidity regular soft drinks have.
