The Effect Of Toothache on a Child's Studies

Don’t Let Toothache Distract Your Kids At School

Toothache can distract any adult from an activity he or she is engaged in. Imagine when it happens to a child…

Toothache is a sure way to distract any student from their schoolwork. In a recent study by the University of Southern California’s Ostrow School of Dentistry it was discovered that kids suffering from toothache are four times more likely to have a low grade point average.

They are also more likely to skip school due to dental problems. According to the study, “elementary children missed a total of six days per year, and high school children missed 2.6 days. For elementary students, 2.1 days of missed school were due to dental problems, and high school students missed 2.3 days due to dental issues”.
