An Oral Strip To Treat Burns To The Mouth
Oral burns can happen when you ingest hot foods or liquids. It can affect any part of your mouth, and it could last for two to three days.
A group of scientists in the US have developed an oral strip that works as an oral anesthetic to reduce the pain of an oral burn and to aid healing. The strips contain the anaesthetic benzocaine, and are made of a polymer fibre that gradually dissolves away. Makers of these oral strips claim that since the materials used are inexpensive, these films could provide affordable and prolonged relief from thermal burns of the oral cavity.
